Common questions

How do I turn on the SMS filter?

On the iPhone: Settings, Messages, Unknown & Spam. Turn on Filter Unknown Senders, then under SMS Filtering tap Senior Fraud Alert. Scam texts from unknown numbers will move to Junk automatically.

How do I turn on call blocking?

Settings, Phone, Call Blocking & Identification. Toggle Senior Fraud Alert on. Known scam numbers will be silenced.

Does this work without internet?

Yes. Text and call protection run entirely on the phone. Airplane mode still filters spam.

Where do blocked texts go?

Messages > Filters > Junk. Texts from people in your contacts are never touched.

What is the Share Sheet check?

Long-press any text or link, tap Share, choose Check with Senior Fraud Alert. That one piece of content gets sent for a verdict in seconds. Only when you tap.

How do I cancel?

Settings > your Apple ID > Subscriptions > Senior Fraud Alert > Cancel. Access continues until the end of the billing period. No partial refunds.

How do I delete my data?

In the app: Settings > Privacy & Your Data > Delete All My Data. To also wipe your account from my server, email me below.

Reporting a scam I missed

If a scam text or call got through, email me at seniorfraudalertsupport@gmail.com with the sender number plus the first line of the message (or a screenshot). I add real cases to the on-device pattern list so the next user catches it.

Reporting a false positive

If a legitimate text or call got blocked by mistake, email seniorfraudalertsupport@gmail.com and I’ll look at the rule that misfired. You can also unblock the sender yourself in the app: Settings, then Blocked Messages or Blocklist.
