Terms of Service

1. What Senior Fraud Alert is

Senior Fraud Alert is a scam-protection service for older adults, available as a paid subscription (“we,” “our,” “the Company”). It runs as an iPhone app that filters scam texts and fraud calls on the device, plus an optional web dashboard that can monitor a connected Gmail inbox for scam emails. Results are informational guidance only and do not constitute legal, financial, or security advice.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Senior Fraud Alert in any way, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. What the service does

Senior Fraud Alert provides:

• On-device SMS filtering and fraud-call blocking through the iOS app
• Share Sheet scam check for any text or link the user taps
• Trusted Contact alerts that loop a family member in on serious threats
• Optional Gmail monitoring on the web dashboard (read-only metadata: subject, sender, snippet)
• Plain-language verdicts and guidance on what to do next

The iOS protection runs locally on the phone. Share Sheet checks and Gmail analysis use third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) as disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

4. No guarantee of protection

Senior Fraud Alert does not guarantee that every scam, phishing attempt, or fraudulent communication will be detected.

The AI system assists your judgment. It does not replace it. Scam tactics evolve constantly, and no automated tool catches everything. Results may contain false positives (flagging legitimate emails) and false negatives (missing actual scams).

Always use personal judgment before acting on any email, especially before sending money, providing personal information, or clicking links. When in doubt, contact the sender through a verified phone number or official website, not through contact information in the message itself.

5. Subscription and auto-renewal

Important: this is a recurring subscription.

• You will be charged $24.99 per month on a recurring basis.
• Billing begins on the date you subscribe, or at the end of any free trial period.
• Your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel.
• You may cancel at any time, as described below.
• A reminder email is sent before any free trial converts to a paid subscription.

Cancellation

Cancel by emailing seniorfraudalertsupport@gmail.com with the subject line Cancel Subscription. Cancellations are confirmed within one business day and take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then. There are no cancellation fees and no complicated steps.

Cancellation is as simple as signing up. You are not required to call a phone number, complete a survey, or navigate through multiple screens.

30-day money-back guarantee

New subscribers may request a full refund of their first charge within 30 days of that charge, for any reason. This applies to first-time subscribers only; it does not apply to renewal charges or re-subscriptions.

To request a refund, email seniorfraudalertsupport@gmail.com with the subject line Refund Request. Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

After 30 days, charges are non-refundable except for billing errors. See the full Cancellation Policy for details.

Price changes

At least 30 days’ notice will be given before any price increase. You may cancel before the new price takes effect if you do not agree to the change.

6. User responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the service only for personal email security purposes
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the service or its APIs
• Not submit content that violates applicable law

Accounts are for individual use. Each person in your family who uses the service needs their own account.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Senior Fraud Alert is not liable for:

• Any loss or harm resulting from a scam that the service failed to detect
• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service

Total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of California. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your state of residence.
